Two siblings killed in Khagrachhari landslides

Two brothers were killed in another landslide in Guddongchhara area under Ramgarh upazila of Khagrachhari district on Sunday morning.

 The deceased were identified as Nur Nabi, 14 and Hossain, 10, sons of Mostafa.

 Confirming the news, Ramgarh police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shariful Islam said that the two brothers were sleeping at their home as usual yesterday night. But, they died as their house collapsed due to landslide triggered by torrential rain on Sunday.

 Later, locals recovered the bodies on Sunday morning.

Earlier, at least 156 people were killed in separate landslides in Rangamati, Chittagong, Bandarban, Cox’s Bazar and Khagrachhari.
